DAY 1 Depart Heathrow at 10.20 on Finnair scheduled flight(s) via Helsinki to Ivalo. Arrive 18.55 local time and transfer to Kakslauttanen. Check into your 'own' log cabin. Dinner in the hotel. DAY 2 After breakfast lick start your Christmas days of Lapland magic with a husky safari through and across the enchanting wilderness of the rolling fells. Special equipment and clothing will be provided and a picnic lunch around an open fire is included. CHRISTMAS EVE Today is Jussi Eiramo's special day organised by him, as he has done, for many years. After a leisurely breakfast, we set off by snowmobile safari, looking for and cutting down our Christmas tree. Lunch at the hotel followed by everybody helping to decorate the tree and optional sauna. If you wish, you can join a special Christmas service at Tieva Chapel before a traditional Lapp Christmas dinner, after which Father Christmas will arrive with a small present for all the children. |
CHRISTMAS DAY After a leisurely breakfast celebrate Christmas Day in style with a snowmobile adventure safari following a different trail from your husky safari the day before. Lunch en route in the nomadic Sami manner by an open fire before continuing back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. DAY 5 Breakfast and morning at leisure before transfer to Ivalo and return flight(s) via Helsinki back to London departing at 13.30 and arriving 17.10.
