HOTEL KAKSLAUTTANEN
Jussi Eiramo came to Kakslauttanen as a young man for a
summer’s fishing and has stayed ever since. Today, the 31 log
cabins, restaurant and adjacent igloo village are all testimony to
Jussi’s passionate attention to detail. The cabins, of varying
sizes, are all equipped with shower, toilet, kitchenette, open
fireplace and sauna and set amongst trees around a sort of giant
log cabin. This has a fully licensed restaurant with an open
fireplace, around which local specialities are cooked, and a small
handicraft/souvenir shop. Sleds are available for everyone’s free
use and cross country skis and snowshoes can be hired from the
hotel.
