Christmas in Harriniva

DAY 1

Depart Heathrow at 10.20 on Finnair scheduled flight(s) via Helsinki to Kittila. Arrive 17.40 local time and transfer to Muonio. Check-in to your room where your thermal clothing will be available. Buffet supper

CHRISTMAS EVE

Breakfast. Day at leisure to just hang out, chill out, play out and soak up Harriniva’s special atmosphere. Lunch at the hotel, after which children can join in the forest search for the perfect Christmas tree which everyone can help decorate as well as bake cookies for tea. Traditional Christmas dinner culminating in a visit by Father Christmas who will have a small present for everyone.

CHRISTMAS DAY

After breakfast walk to the husky kennels for the start of your husky safari. Harriniva has one of the largest breeding kennels in Europe: your team will bark excitedly before you set off, only to fall silent as they pull through the forest. In this, the purest of silences, the only sound you will hear is the whoosh of the sled’s runners cutting through the snow. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Buffet dinner

BOXING DAY

After breakfast set off on a family snowmobile safari along snow clad forest trails. Stop midway for a warming berry juice by an open fire and then return to the hotel for late lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Buffet dinner

DAY 5

After breakfast, time for the children to have one last play in the snow before your transfer to Kittila airport for Finnair scheduled flight(s) to Heathrow where you land at 17.10 local time.
